CNC Operator Level I

Parkway Products, Inc. Santa Maria, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

Job Summary:

CNC machine operators will independently machine and measure precision plastic components. 

The operator will provide a variety of direct manufacturing functions which include safely operating equipment including, but not limited to:   CNC Mills & Lathes

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate CNC lathe and mill machines.
  • Basic Blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T
  • Follow and fill out First piece & in-process inspection plans
  • Follow and fill out hour by hour sheets and OEE sheets
  • Operation of various inspection equipment used in the manufacture of precision machined parts including CMM
  • Basic tool setting with off sets
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area to support safety efforts and awareness
  • Review and complete required daily documentation.
  • Complete other related or assigned tasks, as needed. 
  • Maintain all safety and employee policies and report any infractions or concerns to management.

Qualifications and Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience operating CNC machine (preferably Doosan, Mori-Seki, Robo Drills or Hass machines.
  • Attention to detail
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Positive, proactive behavior in the execution of all job duties.
  • Ability to use basic measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, gages, etc.)
  • Collaborate and work with others. 
  • English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.
  • Keen understanding and knowledge of manufacturing related safety issues.
  • Ability to work as a cooperative team player, treating all co-workers, customer, and suppliers with consideration and respect.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent Sitting, Standing, walking and operating machinery and/or power tools.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of items between 20-30 lbs. 

6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday
