Shipping Clerk I
Parkway Products, Inc.

Summary:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and in compliance with good manufacturing practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:.
- Unload trucks with incoming material/ products/ components and processes receipts according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading.
- Prepares customer orders for shipment: Stage the required shipment, quantity; Verifies part/lot numbers: Shrink-wraps palletized loads; Affixes shipping labels, Marks shipping information on carton/pallets/skids.
- Loads trucks with outgoing freight and processes shipments and inventory transfers according to customer requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operates all warehouse and shipping/receiving equipment as necessary.
- Assist warehouse Supervisor and/ or Shipping Coordinator as required and directed.
- Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in neat, safe and orderly fashion.
- Selects storage space for raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
- Maintains product integrity with in a specific location for storage and/ or movements.
- Identifies and locates items. When necessary, prepares items for handling by shrink wrapping or otherwise securing items to pallet or container.
- Moves material and items from receiving or production staging areas to warehouse storage location or to designated areas
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Successful completion of "Fundamentals of Injection Molding" Paulson Training.
- Successful completion of training in automated inventory system (Scanners).
- Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Successful completion of Forklift certification.
Education and Experience:
- 0-6 Months Experience in Manufacturing role (preferably within shipping/ warehouse environment).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to communicate with other team members, pleasant, courteous and tactful manner.
- English language proficiency, to include verbal and written communication.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report (MVR).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand entire shift (8+ hrs.).
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity.
- Moderate physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
- Frequently moves from waist level to floor level.
