Preventative Maintenance Technician Level I
Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Technician
Location: Seneca, SC

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary:
A detail-oriented Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine and proactive maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment used in primary production and secondary operations to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. As necessary, perform the repair of production equipment, including building and grounds. Participate in capital projects as well as manufacturing engineering projects for facilities improvements/additions, production equipment fabrication, modification and/or procurement, process improvement, scrap reduction, etc. This position requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety and the ability to work independently with a focus on preventing equipment issues before they arise.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with Operations to ensure the safe, continued operation of production schedule and quality products by keeping Machines and support equipment in production readiness.
- Performs continuous repair and maintenance of equipment through daily, weekly, monthly, and annual Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and log.
- Maintain a PM schedule.
- Notify Maintenance Lead/Supervisor/Manager of needed supplies.
- Maintains compliance with safety and housekeeping rules and procedures.
- Assists with any Maintenance projects for improvements or repairs.
- Maintains updated files and records of all plant production, secondary, and toolroom equipment as well as facilities.
- Maintains compliance with company safety and housekeeping rules and procedures to help keep the goal of a safe, healthy work environment.
- Adheres to 6S requirements.
- Participate in the Safety Team and Continual Improvement Team meetings and perform actions from those.
- Performs any tasks assigned by Management that include but may not be limited to Maintenance and Janitorial duties.
- Ensures that practices are compliant with the facility operating requirements of the AS9100.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Comprehension and application of training manuals and materials.
- Good multi-tasking skills
- Attention to detail
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred.
- Ability to work with others in a Team environment.
- Positive, proactive behavior in the execution of all job duties.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- English language proficiency to include verbal and written communication.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Aptitude for maintenance and mechanically inclined.
- Strong understanding of Preventative Maintenance and why it is critical to the operation.
- Continuing education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering desired
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office for creating and maintaining schedules and documents.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and maintain dexterity when handling parts, tooling, components, etc.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at various heights.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings
