Lead Finishing Operator

Job Summary:

This position provides production support of finishing inspection, and packaging operations through customer order review, daily/weekly/monthly scheduling of department throughput to fulfill orders, and coordination of shipments and part quality with Finishing Supervisor.

 Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supervision of multiple employees in supervisors’ absence; scheduling and prioritizing labor as required for customer order fulfillment.
• Reviewing customer orders for daily/weekly/monthly planned shipments.
• Inspection, tumbling, and packaging of parts to uphold customer requirements.
• Coordinating inspection approvals and ensuring customer requirements are met prior to packaging and shipment.
• Completion of work orders and corresponding paperwork.
• Assembly of customer products in a fast-paced environment as needed.
• Operation of heat-sealing machines and customer-supplied stamps.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area to support safety efforts and awareness.
• Uphold the 5S efforts of the shift ensuring materials, parts and liquids are kept off the floor and machines.
• Assist with training efforts as directed.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
• English language proficiency, to include verbal and written communication.
• Basic Math comprehension
• Ability to maintain repetitive motions without limitations
• Moderate to heavy physical demand involving lifting and moving of materials and equipment up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time and maintain dexterity when handling tooling components. 
• Proficient in oral and written communications.
• Good multi-tasking skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to get along with coworkers and work in a team environment.
• Positive, proactive behavior in the execution of all job duties.
• Good knowledge of plastics and basic molding practices is preferred. 
• Proficient with Air Tools and Hand Tools.
• Notes and reports on any unusual conditions to supervisor/manager.
• Comprehension and application of training manuals.

 Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while inspecting parts.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
